The principles behind the 'Resource Management Act' (RMA) are rooted in the 'Professional Development' Engineers received at University of Auckland, New Zealand. It is based on advancing humanity in a sustainable way. Just like I have gratitude to my parents, I also have gratitude to my teachers. Hence, I am writing this post because of my debt of gratitude to University of Auckand, who blessed me with Engineering knowledge and experience, such as what is the RMA, its relevance and how to apply it (2002-2005). <br>

I am not a NZ Government employee, nor am I officially affiliated to any political movement. My vote goes to the ones who talk sanity. I am an IEEE Engineer from the university of Auckland. My education in the Engineering profession in early 2000's was forged on the basis of the 'Resource Management Act' (RMA). The current administration of New Zealand is raising questions about RMA. I agree that RMA does involve processes perceived as conscientious, as engineering activities have to involve consultations with all stakeholders (including local tribes) with the aim of getting a 'win-win'. The 'government of the day' I believe claims that it struggles to operate at that level due to realities of 2026 (Tiriti Action Group Pōneke, 2026).<br><br>

All I am saying is that Engineers like me love the RMA, as it was the only way known to mankind for sustainable progress, when I was at university. I followed those principles all my live. Yes, it involves a lot of communication and holding onto principles. However, it is this very adherence to higher principles which makes us the ones chosen to represent our professions, as explained by UK's Irish origin Oxford University Chaplain in his speech to his [Non-Violent] faith's alumni community  (PS Alumni, 2015, Oct, 3).  <br><br>

I beg the public of New Zealand, please don't throw the baby away with the bath water. RMA is all we know. If you still can't hear me, out of 'gratitude alone' keep the RMA, for it is gratitude which drives even the unworthy among the righteous like me. Let us operate with gratitude to our nation's [Non Violent and honoured] elders (New Zealand Film Commission, 2022). See my private reflection in journal entry from 01 FEB 2026 in Appendix 1.0, to see the importance of this gratitude according to my [Non-Violent] creed. <br>

In the Karthik Month Govardhan trip to Vrindavan (Childhood home of Lord Radha Krishna) in 2025, Vaishnav Maharaj Radhanath Swami ji explained the answer to this question. It was a five day talk series and this was explained in one of those 5 * 5 hours sermons, from memory. I saw it on YouTube, live. He said along the lines of:<br><br>

- One who has no envy towards other creatures of the universe, has God's forever favour. <br><br>

This is because he said that one who has no envy towards another, hurts no one. This is way of the 'servant of the servant [of the ...infinity]' of Lord Vishnu. God Radha Krishna, who is the main protagonist in the Sanatana Dharma Oath book is a pure/100% avatar (Das, 2006, Pg. 468) of Lord Vishnu in Dwapar age on earth, which occurred about 7000 years ago. <br><br>

The natural question then arises from this is then:<br><br>

- What sustains the motivation of such people? <br><br>

Vaishnav Maharaj states that it is gratitude that lights the direction of a devotee's life. When they see others receiving comforts and happiness, they see it as God blessing them ('the others'). Where is the scope of envy then?<br><br>

I am unworthy. I work as a cleaner after holding the debt of the Engineering profession, due to circumstances out of my control. I am unworthy of my profession as I cannot pass on my knowledge and experience from the profession. Even then I write this post as this post is dedicated to my Austere Late Paternal Grandmother Kumari [Sanatana Dharma Nun] Raj Sarna (1937-2024), who had the courage to single handedly preserve the generational offering of our family members to the profession of defenders of sanity, such as the 'IEEE ethics' which I signed up to (IEEE- Advancing Technology for Humanity, 2026). <br>
